Almost 2!

Where did the time go!?  Zoey will be 2 in 10 days!  She is so much fun. She is talking a lot more. She knows things such as if something is hot or cold. Or if its mommys or daddy's and she's not supposed to touch. 

We ask her if se had fun today and she responds with "yes."  We ask her if she played and she says "Bro Bro."  That is she played with Brody today...her friend at daycare. We ask her if he slept good, she say "yes."  It's just so cute. Another new word is "coming?" Meaning are you coming?

Zoey is warming up to the pool. She's moved from hanging around the steps to jumping time off the side. This week we start swim lessons!  

Talking more.

Zoey is becoming the little parakeet; especially in the mornings when her mood is best. She repeats almost everything I say. Well, she attempts to. :-) It really is adorable.

We've also entered the phase where we look at her intently with a blank stare trying our darndest to figure out what she's saying. Lol For the most part we can make out most everything she's saying tho. Besides the obvious like mama and daddy, she has been saying things like Izzy, which sounds like "sissy," for awhile. Juice sounds like shoes. Oh, and she's got "paci" down real well!! When speaking of Olivia, she says "baby cry", "smile" & "swing."

We're having fun listening to her and see her progress and grow before our eyes. Lots more to come...

Zoey almost 21 months.

Where does the time go! Zoey is almost 21 months old!! She is developing such a cute personality. Of course we have out little tantrums an whining sessions (mostly when she's not getting her way). But when she is happy....she I happy!! Her giggles and her smile just melt us each and every time! He loves to play outside and pick flowers and get her hands dirty. :-) One of the latest catchy tunes for her is Old McDonald... She likes the E I E I O part.

Zoey is starting to talk a lot more especially with more just one word. Mama and dada are a no brainier for her. She's now on to "love you" and other 2 word sayings. Sometimes she throws a southern draw into it, other times its Italian. She hasn't mastered Olivia's name yet...it's more like "Lala"

Zoey is very good with Olivia. She always wants to give her her paci and is very good at helping out by getting us a diaper and wipe and throwing them away. The only times she gets jealous is when she's crabby. :-) Seeing how quickly she catches onto things, I think we might try sitting on the potty tonight and see what happens.... :-)

No more snacking!

Much better night last night than the last two nights. Working on getting Olivia full at each feeding instead of just snacking. That can be a challenge when she wants to sleep after eating for 5 minutes. But last night was a definite success. Down at 9:15 up at 1:30 and 5:30!

Pattycake

Zoey always smiles when we play pattycake, it's almost a sure thing to get her to smile when she's fussy.  Yesterday, her 8 month birthday, I would do pattycake and she would clap her own hands together by herself.  It was so adorable!  Will try to upload video... 

We think some teeth are finally starting to pop through.  She had a temperature Friday afternoon/evening.  She was fine for the most part Saturday (excpet for the separation anxiety she's starting recently...).  Then Sunday came and she was fussy for most of the day.  Tylenol seemed to help some.  We'll see what the rest of the week brings... ;-)

Almost 8 months!

Zoey is doing well!  Went to see GG and Great Uncle Steve last weekend.  They babysat while Josh and I went shopping for a dress for me for Torsten & Maggie's wedding in May.  (some success)  Zoey still has no interest in crawling or rolling over...in time I guess. ;-)  She loves to eat though!  She's eating everything I make for her, zuccini, squash, avacado, grean beans, peas, pears, peaches, and store-bought prunes & applesauce. 

Zoey's been sleeping pretty well too.  Down around 8pm, up around 6:30am with us giving her the paci occassionally during the night.  This morning, around 5:30, she took her paci and played the drums on the rails of her bed.  She's done this a few times now.  This time she managed to put the paci back in her mouth and go back to sleep.  (this is what Josh said b/c I tend to sleep thru her noises during the night)  She's always keeping us on our toes. ;-)  We're enjoying her each and every day!!

Zoey saying "Mama"??

Well, had a great time in Decatur...showing baby Zoey off to all our friends.  She's been jabbering a bit more.  Seems as if she's saying "mama" (but usually that was right before she was getting upset/frustrated).  But it's becoming more common now.  Even the daycare says she is saying "mama."  Not sure if she knows she saying it though. :-)  Now we gotta work on "dada" and "izzy"  :-)
