MUCH better night last night...

Well, after almost 2 weeks of this cold and not sleeping very well, with the past few nights being the worst, last night was much better!  A couple nights ago was kind of scary. She coughed up a handful (Josh's hand, literally) of mucus. Just what she needed! ;-)  Last night we put Zoey on her side and it seemed to help a lot.  She still coughed, but she didn't wake up crying after each cough.  We figured she likes to nestle in our arms and she tends to go to her right side, so we laid her down like that in her crib.  She did wake up a couple times but that was within 11 hours, so not bad. 

Zoey is grabbing at things  a lot more.  She likes to grab my hair when I'm feeding her or rocking her.  She likes to grab our mouth, nose and my glasses.  It's cute but kind of hurts with her nails, guess I need to get on that (trimming them).  They grow so fast (nails and babies ;-)!

Ok day at daycare yesterday... they mentioned she didn't want to be on her back, cried...  also said she was tugging on her ears a few times, can be a sign of ear infection.  But she seemed alright last night at home.  She ate pretty well and slept from 8pm to 6:50am (had to give her the paci a couple times during the night).  She's still coughing some (sounds like a cough that is breaking up...so probably has drainage) but we haven't seen where it's affected her mood or eating or anything.  Still giving her mucinex twice a day (tough to do, she definintely doesn't like cherry!)

Well I believe we're feeling a bit better...  Zoey fell asleep around 6pm last night and woke up around 4:45am to eat 5oz. and went back to sleep until 7:30.  Much needed rest (for her) I believe! 

Dr. visit

Got a call from the daycare, Zoey was coughing and "choking" when coughing.  She has had a bit of a cold...  took her Dr. and she is fine.  Had to check it out though with the 3 reported cases of RSV at the daycare (not in her room).  Anyways....she now weighs 16lbs 5oz!  Cereal is doing her body good! :)

Yes, she can sleep anywhere!  She's so funny when trying to eat her cereal when she's tired...she nods off

Zoey is definitely moving a lot more.  We lay her on her play mat under the toys and a few minutes later she is turned 180 degrees...and would probably keep going.  Also shown is a recent picture of a baby that doesn't skip a meal!  :-)

Great sleeping weekend! / belly laughs

Zoey, and Josh and I, slept great this weekend!  First time in a long time the we ALL slept in!  Maybe the rice cereal is helping (even though she's just getting a little).  Friday and Saturday night Zoey slept from about 9-5 (or 8-4), then up for a feeding of about 5-6 oz then back down for about 4 hours!  You can tell she's getting more sleep because she is definitely growing! 

This morning I got some belly laughs from her...it was so adorable!  As soon as I went to get my phone and try to take a video, she just looked at the phone instead of laughing.  Figures! :-)

Rice cereal for late night snack...

Well, we did the rice cereal/formula thing last night...  I'm being taught more patience through this as half of it seemed to be on Zoey's face and bib.  BUT...  she did eat some and we finished her off with 4 oz. of formula.  Needless to say, she slept from about 8:15pm to 6:30am!!  Then she sucked down 6 oz. of formula this morning. ;-)  Looking forward to a great weekend with Aunt Tracy and cousin Jess!

4 month checkup

Zoey did great at her 4 month checkup today!  Got a few shots and some new stats...  She now weighs 13 lbs. 14 oz.   She is 24 inches long.  She is the 50th percentile for both height and weight.  We are starting her on cereal tonight (just at the last feeding).  That should take her thru the night, we hope. ;-)  Video of that to come...  haha

Time change

Well, so much for an extra hour of sleep...I think we got less sleep actually.  Zoey has not wanted to sleep much this weekend. ;-(

Zoey slept from 9pm to 6:45am when I had to wake her!  YAY for lots of sleep for everyone!!

Well it was a long day.  Started with company picnic at 10am on a Farm.  Zoey did really well.  She was dressed all warm and cozy and still supporting Nebraska.  Nebraska beat Michigan St. 24-3!!  Go Huskers!!

Zoey woke up around 7am this morning (after sleeping from 8:15 - 4:30) crying ..when I picked her up out of bed, she was sucking her thumb. It was so cute.

Zoey was laying in the floor and I was pushing buttons and such on the activity set and she pulled on the toy to make it play music. All on her own!
