Pattycake

Zoey always smiles when we play pattycake, it's almost a sure thing to get her to smile when she's fussy.  Yesterday, her 8 month birthday, I would do pattycake and she would clap her own hands together by herself.  It was so adorable!  Will try to upload video... 

We think some teeth are finally starting to pop through.  She had a temperature Friday afternoon/evening.  She was fine for the most part Saturday (excpet for the separation anxiety she's starting recently...).  Then Sunday came and she was fussy for most of the day.  Tylenol seemed to help some.  We'll see what the rest of the week brings... ;-)

Almost 8 months!

Zoey is doing well!  Went to see GG and Great Uncle Steve last weekend.  They babysat while Josh and I went shopping for a dress for me for Torsten & Maggie's wedding in May.  (some success)  Zoey still has no interest in crawling or rolling over...in time I guess. ;-)  She loves to eat though!  She's eating everything I make for her, zuccini, squash, avacado, grean beans, peas, pears, peaches, and store-bought prunes & applesauce. 

Zoey's been sleeping pretty well too.  Down around 8pm, up around 6:30am with us giving her the paci occassionally during the night.  This morning, around 5:30, she took her paci and played the drums on the rails of her bed.  She's done this a few times now.  This time she managed to put the paci back in her mouth and go back to sleep.  (this is what Josh said b/c I tend to sleep thru her noises during the night)  She's always keeping us on our toes. ;-)  We're enjoying her each and every day!!

Zoey saying "Mama"??

Well, had a great time in Decatur...showing baby Zoey off to all our friends.  She's been jabbering a bit more.  Seems as if she's saying "mama" (but usually that was right before she was getting upset/frustrated).  But it's becoming more common now.  Even the daycare says she is saying "mama."  Not sure if she knows she saying it though. :-)  Now we gotta work on "dada" and "izzy"  :-)

ZoZo update

Zoey has been doing great!  Sleeping well, eating well, pooping well... :-)   I think it's all the fresh food...  I've pureed pears, peaches, green beans, avacados, carrots and sweet potatoes.  Going to do squash here soon...  She loves them all and eats nearly 3 cubes of a vegetable and 3 cubes of a fruit at lunch AND dinner.  She's a growing girl! :-)

Zoey is pretty much sitting up on her own now.  We are still there with her or have a boppy or something near her in case she loses some balance.  But for the most part, she's sitting by herself.  She hasn't started to crawl or roll over or anything like that yet... she doesn't care for tummy time so maybe she'll go straight to walking. ;-) 

ZoZo

So Zoey had pooped 3 times yesterday!!  YAY!  She was a happy baby the rest of the day/evening.  Fed her some cereal with pear juice and prunes last night.  I couldn't feed her fast enough. She would basically just sit there with her mouth wide open the whole time.  So cute!  She was pretty worn out though... went down around 7pm and didn't wake up until 4am.  Then downed 5 more ounces and then 3 more at 6am.  Definitely getting her appetite back... just hopefully she'll start to be more regular again.

Almost back on track/schedule...

Put Zoey to bed last night, bedtime is usually around 7:30...  She was still awake when I laid her down.  I stepped out and listened, but didn't hear a peep.  Checked 5-10 minutes later and she was out.  That's what we like to see.  ;-) 

For those that care to know, Zoey pooped today!  She's been eating 2-3 jars of prunes each day and drinking 4-6 ounces of pear juice and some prune juice.  It's been since Friday so it was good news to hear she went today.  Maybe we can start the rice back in her diet...  Her follow-up to ear infection and 6 month checkup is Thursday.  Wonder if some veggies in her diet are in her near future...?

Zoey grabbing at things...

Zoey has been reaching and grabbing for things more lately.  She plays with my hair when I'm feeding her, she pulls on my hair when I'm holding her...actually had to throw away a chunk of my hair the other day.  She pulled on Izzy's ear the other day and Izzy threw out a small yelp.  Needless to say Izzy is cautious of Zoey ;-)  Izzy does like to be near Zoey though...  especialy when Zoey's laying on her play mat or jumping in her jumper.
